Students as assessment partners: A collaborative, qualitative evaluation of the Guns on Campus CURE

The Students-as-Partners (SaP) paradigm has been widely recognized for its enrichment of pedagogy and research, particularly in the scholarship teaching learning; a time acute disruption to higher education, SaP model may further provide key insights into adaptation high impact practices, although changing conditions partnership require close attention. This paper reports on qualitative evaluation multi-campus, hybrid course-based undergraduate research experience (CURE) delivered first year COVID-19 pandemic. Analysis student reflection data was conducted by team two faculty four CURE-student participants process informed model. In addition identifying student-reported challenges, solutions, educational benefits associated with CURE, we reflect both unique opportunities, difficulties, offered student-faculty partnerships formed virtual meeting space.
